Try Scuba Diving Mexico For Mucho Fun In The Sun

What could be more fun than scuba diving Mexico style? Located in Central America, Mexico enjoys coasts on both the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. The warm, tropical climate makes for excellent diving conditions and spectacular sea life. Sun drenched beaches stretch for hundreds of miles on both coasts. The interior of the country boasts majestic mountains and ancient ruins, but that's the wrong direction if you're wanting scuba diving Mexico style.

Locate some suitable Mexican diving companies before you depart. Determine what services are offered, and book some tours that are to your liking. If you are not a scuba diver, you must begin your lessons immediately, or your scuba diving Mexico trip will be far shorter than you want it to be. Once you complete the course, bring your certification with you. It may be necessary to prove to the diving company that you have the required skills for scuba diving Mexico activities.

Many diving services will escort groups to uncrowded scuba diving Mexico hot spots. You'll float among the rainbow of coral and drift with the waving sponges. Currents are generally mild, so you'll have no problem observing the salt water fish and other sea life. Sharks, stingrays and eels may be seen, but are generally accustomed to the presence of divers. Some tours offer fish identification books at the gift shop that you can use to identify species you saw during your scuba diving Mexico experience.

One unique feature of scuba diving Mexico locations is cenote or cave diving. These were ice-age caves that flooded when ocean levels rose. They are normal limestone caves with stalactites and stalagmites, but now also have fish and other sea creatures! There is an overhead environment, the cave ceiling, but dives are limited to the reach of natural sunlight. Open Water Diving certification is required for these dives. Cave Diving Certification is required for entering the deeper parts of scuba diving Mexico caves.

If you are lucky your scuba diving Mexico experience will include swimming with dolphins. Some dolphins are tame and accustomed to divers. Wild dolphins might be encountered during regular dives. As cute and playful as they are, remember that dolphins are large wild animals that can easily injure you. Respect the animals and your scuba diving Mexico experience will be safe and memorable.

The Yucatan Peninsula in the Gulf of Mexico offers excellent diving too. Cozumel is famous for its reef diving, and the Baja Peninsula is another popular diving location. If you wish to do scuba diving Mexico in several locations, the best time is in January and February. The climate is comfortable, there are few visitors, and water clarity is good. You could probably close your eyes and pick a scuba diving Mexico location that would give you an excellent diving experience.
